Objective of the GEMAD Charter

GEMAD stands for Gippsland Employers Making a Difference and is based on a successful practice in the UK, Employers Forum on Disability and the Australian Network on Disability.

The GEMAD charter is an initiative to encourage employers to adopt a number of principles relating to the inclusion of people with a disability in mainstream employment and become contributing members of their workforce.

Given that 20% of the Australian Community has a disability of some form, its not surprising that a commitment to the GEMAD Charter makes good business sense.
